Introduction of 5754-H Aluminum Plate
Different aluminum sheets have different states and process properties. In the five basic states of aluminum plates (F, O, H, W, T), the H state is one of the most frequently contacted and mostly subdivided states. Meaning of 5754-H Aluminum Plate

Meaning of the First Number after H as for 5754-h Aluminum Plate
H1: Work hardened state, indicating that the aluminum plate has not been heat treated, and the required strength is obtained only by work hardening.
H2: Work hardening and incomplete annealing state, indicating that the aluminum sheet has been work hardened and the strength exceeds the specified requirements. After incomplete annealing, the strength of the aluminum plates is reduced to the standard strength.
H3: Work hardening and stabilization treatment state, indicating that the aluminum plate is subjected to heat treatment during heat treatment or processing, and the mechanical properties are stable. H3 is only suitable for aluminum plates that are naturally aged at room temperature.
H4: Work hardening and painting treatment state, indicating that the aluminum plate is subjected to painting treatment after the work hardening, resulting in an incompletely annealed aluminum plate.
Meaning of the Second Number after H as for 5754-h Aluminum Plate
Generally, the degree of hardening is divided into 8 grades, 1 is the lowest, 8 is the highest, and 9 is harder state higher than the degree of Hx8 work hardening.

The H18 state indicates that the aluminum plate has only been subjected to work hardening without heat treatment, and the aluminum plate having the highest strength is obtained.
The H24 state indicates that the aluminum plate undergoes incomplete annealing after work hardening and the strength is moderate.
The H32 state indicates that the aluminum plate is subjected to low-temperature annealing after work hardening, and the state is stable, but the strength is lower than that of the aluminum plate of H24.
Meaning of the Third Number after H as for 5754-h Aluminum Plate
H111 state: Applicable to products that have undergone appropriate amount of work hardening after final annealing, but the degree of work hardening is not as good as H11.
H112 state: Suitable for hot-rolled sheet free-formed, hot-formed products.
H116 state: Applicable to products made of 5 series alloy with magnesium content ≥ 4.0%. These products have specified mechanical properties and resistance to flaking corrosion.
